Mark Richins
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Mark's biggest hobby is spending time with his family. He also enjoys being outdoors and studying the topic of music psychology. He has been playing piano and composing music for almost twenty years. After completing his a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he continued to study music at Brigham Young University-Idaho.
At BYU-Idaho, Mark studied piano performance with Dr. Stephen Thomas, piano pedagogy with Dr. Steven Allen and piano collaboration with Dr. Micheal McQuay. He also participated in the composition program and had works performed in recitals and the annual BYU-Idaho hymn festival, graduating as a Bachelor of Musical Arts. He continued to receive a Master of Music in Music Therapy from Illinois State University. Today, he continues to write music as an expression of his testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He actively practices as a full-time, board-certified music therapist supporting people with a variety of developmental
disabilities in building skills for their every day life.
